MCCLURE, IL (KFVS) -

Troopers with Illinois State Police and the Illinois Drug Task Force raided Brown Bag Video Thursday for illegal drugs.

According to state police, Sean Davis, 23, of McClure was arrested during the detail on misdemeanor charges of drug paraphernalia and possession of cannabis. A search warrant was obtained for his home on Danville Street in McClure, according to officers.

State police say there could be additional charges after they test the contraband found in Davis' home.

According to Lieutenant Stan Diggs, officers got a search warrant for the business through the Illinois Attorney General's office in Springfield. Diggs said the warrant was a result of a nine-month investigation into the sale of K-2 and other designer products containing illegal substances.

Thursday, officers performed a search warrant and have confiscated all the synthetic drugs found inside the business. That includes several packages of K-2 and bath salts.

Diggs says thousands of packets were seized in the search. He says thousands of packets were also seized at an employee's home.

"We've been getting complaints from the community from both sides of the river for months now, so we started an investigation a couple months ago," said Diggs. "The lab results came back and proved what we thought, or what we already knew was being done."

Diggs says this is the largest amount of synthetic drugs he has ever seen.

"From here the substances we take in, we'll test all of those substances," said Lieutenant Diggs. "And then working with the attorney general's office, we'll see about formal charges for the owners of this establishment.

Diggs says it's not entirely known what is in Bath Salts, that's why they are so dangerous.

"Bath Salts are dangerous," said Lt. Diggs.  "They're very dangerous, we don't know what is all in them so it makes you do crazy things. Same thing with K-2 it's been sold as marijuana, that's a synthetic drug also. (It) has all kind of things in it, makes you do crazy things."

Additional charges and arrests are anticipated, Diggs said.
