Power outages in the Heartland

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - There are several power outages reported Sunday in the Heartland.

Here are the latest numbers from Ameren Electric:

Illinois - As of 4:20 p.m.

Williamson County - 35

Jefferson County - 5

Missouri - As of 4:20 p.m.

Pemiscot County - 30

A wind advisory was in effect through the late afternoon hours.  Winds will be from the south-southwest sustained at 20-30 mph with 40+ mph gusts.

Victoria Busch with Ameren told Heartland News that at the peak of outages Sunday morning around 11  they had 9,413 customers spread across their coverage area from Champaign to Cairo without power.

Early Sunday afternoon they had 1,500, and 490 of those customers are in Jefferson County in the Bluford area. That's where a tree limb came down across a static-line.

They expect to have the line repaired and power back on by 4:30 p.m.
