Woman hurt after a deer rams into her car

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A Kentucky woman was taken by ambulance to hospital with injuries after a deer runs into her car.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, Sherri Smith of Kattaway, KY was driving her 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix on Interstate 24 Saturday around 6:16 p.m.

Investigators say when Smith was getting off I-24 near the 11 mile marker a large deer ran towards her vehicle for unknown reasons.  The deer rammed into the passenger side door of the car.

Smith complained of neck and back pain and was taken to Western Baptist Hospital for minor injuries.
