CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau Police are investigating a couple of counterfeit bills given to a business and the license bureau.
A business owner took a suspicious-looking $100 bill to Capaha Bank to see if it was fake. The bank determined it was a fake and called police.
On Tuesday, a clerk at the license bureau took a counterfeit $20 bill as a payment. When she found it in her desk later, she called police.
Both cases are under investigation.
