Texas man crashes motorcycle after trying to avoid 4 deer

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A Texas man was injured late Tuesday after crashing his motorcycle into four deer in McCracken County.

It happened shortly before midnight in the 2100 block of Friendship Road.

According to deputies, Chandler W. Walker, 23,  of Beaumont, Texas was northbound on South Friendship Road when four deer ran into the path of his 1985 Honda Motorcycle.

Police say Walker could not control of the motorcycle as he attempted to slow down and avoid the deer.

The motorcycle ran of the right shoulder of the road and wrecked into a residence yard. Walker was taken to an Paducah-area hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Investigators say Walker was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Walker was later cited for failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st offense and no motorcycle license.
