TAMMS, IL (KFVS) - The State Fire Marshall's office is expected to be out at the scene of an early morning fire in Tamms.
The fire started just after midnight at a former lumber yard at Front Street and Highway 127.
Fire crews say when they arrived on the scene flames were shooting out of the building.
As the sun came up, it became clear that the building is a total loss. The fire chief says the building has been empty since 2004 when the lumber yard shut down.
Investigators did not have a cause of the fire Monday morning.
Members of the Horseshoe Lake Fire Department helped battle the fire.
