2 from Poplar Bluff receive serious injuries after crash

POPLAR BLUFF, MO (KFVS) -

Three people were injured, including two with serious injuries after a crash late Saturday afternoon in Butler County.

It happened around 5:15 on Route PP, 1/10 of a mile west of Poplar Bluff.

According to the highway patrol, an car driven northbound by Sunny McGown, 21, of Poplar Bluff pulled into the path, and was hit by a mini-van driven northbound by Doris Y. Stallings, 54, of Poplar Bluff.

McGowen receive minor injuries, and Stalling received serious injuries in the crash.

Courtney Payne, 19, a passenger in McGowens car received serious injuries. A one-year-old male in McGowens car was not injured, according to the patrol

Payne and Stallings were taken by EMS to a Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

The patrol says Stallings was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
