FRUITLAND, MO (KFVS) -

One person was killed in a crash between two semi trucks on Interstate 55 Friday morning.

Cape Girardeau County Coroner John Clifton says Randy E. Stewart, 55, of Barlow Ky. died in the crash.

He was the driver of one of the semi trucks.

It happened on Interstate 55 just south of the 105 mile marker.

One lane of the southbound lanes is now open.  Both lanes were closed while crews cleaned up the crash.

Those traveling southbound can detour at the Fruitland exit and take Hwy. 61 to go south.

This is just north of where police were searching for items related to Jacque Waller's disappearance.  She has been missing since June 1.

The southbound lanes of the interstate were reduced to one lane while crews search along the side of the road.
