METROPOLIS, IL (KFVS) - Metropolis Police arrested two suspects Wednesday as the result of a several months long undercover investigation.
David Ashby, 62, of Metropolis, was arrested shortly after 3:30 p.m. in the 900 block of East 9th Street, on a warrant charging him with three counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
He was taken to the county detention center with a $3,000 cash bond.
Coryaunta D. Rhodes, 18, of Metropolis, was arrested around 5 p.m. in the 600 block of Kennedy Drive. Police say he was sought on a warrant charging him with unlawful delivery of a controlled substance.
He was also taken to the county detention center with bond set at $5,000 cash only.
Metropolis police say other suspects are still being sought in connection to an investigation which was conducted in Metropolis and Massac County.
The investigation targets alleged crack cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription pill and marijuana dealers.
The investigation was conducted by Metropolis Police Department, the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
