WASHINGTON, D.C. (KFVS) - Veterans from across central Illinois flew out of Williamson County Regional Airport in Marion, IL Tuesday morning to Washington D.C. with the central Illinois honor flight.

The group includes around 50 World War II Veterans from southern Illinois.

The flight left around 6:30 a.m. and arrived in Washington around 9 a.m.

The group has a busy day planned, with visits to various memorials, monuments, and the Arlington National Cemetery before flying back to Marion around 8:30 p.m.
