DUI crash sends Paducah man to hospital

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Deputies say a Paducah man was cited for DUI in an early morning crash in McCracken County.

According to McCracken County deputies, it happened shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday on Cairo Road.

Gregory A. Weaver, 47, of Paducah was cited on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of ALC/Drugs/etc. .08 - first offence.

Deputies say Weaver was driving the vehicle too fast on a curve going eastbound on Cairo Road. Weaver then overcorrected the vehicle, lost control, left the roadway and overturned after hitting a steel culvert.

He was taken to a local hospital with incapacitating injuries by EMS, according to deputies.

Deputies say Weaver was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash, and was cited at the hospital.
