Good afternoon. Here are some of the stories we are working on for tonight's Heartland News...

Can you believe last night's Cardinals game? Wow! Todd Richards will be live at 5 & 6 from Busch Stadium with updates. Christy Millweard will have local reaction from fans, as well.

Julia Bruck talks to a former Cardinals pitcher about the stress pitchers face on the mound in big games like the World Series.

Also, Kennett native David Nail will be singing at the game.

Carly O'Keefe reports that some parents may be left without a daycare in southern Illinois if some SIU unions go on strike Nov. 3. Carly has the latest at 5.

Illinois State Police say a Kentucky man wanted after his wife was shot this morning shot himself in southern Illinois after troopers stopped him on Interstate 57, near the 71 mile marker.

A 53-year-old Poplar Bluff man was killed in an early morning fire Friday. The fire chief says the fire was accidental.

A sad story coming out of Kentucky, two miners that were trapped have died.

Webcams have been switched on at the Statue of Liberty during a ceremony marking the monument's 125th anniversary.

    A fundraiser is in effect in Southern Illinois between Shawnee Tactical Solutions and the Stop the Bleeding Coalition to put specialized trauma kits in the hands of police departments.

    In an effort to save more lives in active shooter situation and beyond, Shawnee Tactical Solutions and the Stop the Bleeding Coalition are partnering up to put special trauma kits in the hands of police officers.
