ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Police say a man lead police on a high-speed pursuit Tuesday in a stolen car in St. Francois County.
According to Leadington Police Chief Rick Pogue, Chad Boesing was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of tampering of a vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Pogue says around 2:50 early Tuesday police stopped behind a car to check on a person beneath an overpass on Highway 67 in Leadington. Police say Boesing then drove away from police right after he was stopped.
Boesing went south on Highway 67 at speeds over 100 mph, Pogue said.
The chase lasted roughly an hour before Boesing pulled over at the Madison County line.
St. Francois Sheriff's Department, Madison County Sheriff's Department and Fredericktown Police assisted in the chase.
Pogue says Boesing was taken into custody without incident and was being held in the St. Francois County Jail.
