A Massac County man faces gun and weapons charges after police got a tip that he may be up to no good.

Joshua N. Sullivan, 21, is charged with armed violence, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful use of a weapon.

A tip lead police to begin looking for Sullivan.  They found him on the front porch of a house in the 600 block of East 7th Street in Metropolis.

Police say they found a 40 caliber pistol, marijuana, cocaine, a scale, and $507 in cash on Sullivan when they arrested him.

Sullivan was taken to the Massac County Jail.
