JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -
Jackson police say they are dealing with a daytime burglar that may be responsible for as many as seven break-ins in the past couple of weeks.
In fact, they say there were four break-ins on Monday.
The crimes have happened in several parts of town, including the neighborhood behind the Country Mart grocery store.
Police say the burglaries are being committed during the daytime hours when the burglar usually enters through a basement door.
The burglars are then targeting jewelry.
At this time there are no suspects in the case.
This burglar is using a similar modus operandi as Mark Lowery, who was convicted of stealing jewelry from more than 100 homes in Cape Girardeau and Jackson back in 2009.
Police ask people to be watchful of any suspicious people in their neighborhood.
If you have any information, you're asked to call the Jackson Police Department at 573-243-3151.
