KENNETT, MO (KAIT) -

A Kennett man is being held on a $12,000 cash-only bond after Caruthersville police say he was spotted at a Sonic restaurant naked and masturbating.

On Friday afternoon officers were called to the Sonic Drive-In.

Witnesses say a man in a black and silver 2010 Ford Mustang drove up to the restaurant, got out of the car nude and began to masturbate in front of several people, including children.

Before officers could arrive, the man apparently got into his car and drove away.

A short while later Pemiscot County sheriff's deputies located the suspect's car at the Lion's Den in Steele.

Deputies arrested 45-year-old Keith O. Smith of Kennett and charged him with 1st degree sexual misconduct and two counts of 2nd degree sexual misconduct.
