Ky. inmate walks away from jail

FULTON COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

Kentucky State Police are investigating the escape of an inmate from the Fulton County Detention Center. They say It happened shortly before 5:30 Saturday morning in Hickman.

Sunday, KSP troopers say the man was still on the loose and there had been no news on his whereabouts.

Joseph Ray Powell, 35, was serving time for robbery 2nd degree and fraudulent use of credit cards over $100.

Powell is described as a white male, 5' 10" tall, 170 lbs with blue eyes and brown hair.

Police say he was last wearing gray sweat pants and a gray sweatshirt.
