Scott City Fire Dept. to offer disaster training

SCOTT CITY, MO (KFVS) - Emergency workers have told us that preparedness is key to surviving a disaster.

Now, the Scott City Fire Department is offering Community Emergency Response Team training to the public.

The classes will teach citizens skills including some firefighting, search and rescue, organization, and some medical training.

The 20-hour training takes place on October 21-22 and October 29 at the First Assembly of God Church in Scott City.

The classes are free, but you must register to attend.
