Illinois man killed in Kentucky crash

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - Kentucky State Police investigate a deadly traffic crash that killed an Illinois man.

According to Trooper Brad Ramsey, the crash happened at 5:08 p.m. Saturday on Childress Road in West Paducah.

Ramsey says a vehicle operated by 26-year-old Teri Rynearson of Braidwood, Illinois was traveling west on Childress Road in West Paducah when she lost control of her 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix as it crested a hill.

The car went off the roadway, into a ditch that ran perpendicular to the roadway. The car continued in the ditch, traveling alongside Childress road and hit a utility pole.

A passenger, 19-year-old Jacob Rynearson was in the back seat, not wearing a seatbelt in the rear of the vehicle. He was ejected from the car before the vehicle came to final rest in a field just west of a residence located at 9123 Childress Road.

Jacob Rynearson was pronounced dead at the scene by the McCracken County Coroner.

Teri Rynearson and two other passengers in the vehicle: 18-year-old Amanda Trofimchuck of Coal City, Illinois and a one-year-old boy were belted in at the time of the crash and sustained only minor injuries. All three were transported to Lourdes Hospital where they were treated and released.
