BROOKPORT, IL (KFVS) - The Massac County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man facing meth charges.
The active warrant for James Abanatha, 39, of Paducah stem from an investigation that found a 5 year old living in a Brookport home with an active meth lab.
Abanatha is charged with participation in methamphetamine manufacturing.
A young mother and another woman also face charges after deputies found the active meth lab with the child at the home at 917 Crockett Street.
Penny Brashears, 24, and Hellen Johnson, 41, both of Brookport face aggravated participation in methamphetamine production and unlawful methamphetamine related child endangerment charges.
The Massac County Sheriff's Office received a call about 11 p.m. Oct. 11 of a strong chemical odor on Crockett Street in Brookport.
Brashears faces the aggravating element and endangerment charge because she allowed her child to remain in the home while the meth lab was active, according to Massac County Sheriff Ted Holder.
Brashears and Johnson were taken to the Massac County Detention Center.
The Massac County Sheriff's Office is asking for help locating Abanatha who is believed to still be in the Paducah area.
This case is still open and more charges against other suspects are expected.
