CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Four people were arrested in two separate incidents involving weapons and shots fired early Sunday morning.

Weapons violations, assault of a police officer and resisting arrest landed three people behind bars after a fight on Main Street Saturday night.

It happened outside the Billiards Center just after midnight. Police say there was a fight and several shots were fired but no one was hurt.

Officers later arrested Antonio Johnson, 33, of Cape Girardeau. He was charged with unlawful possession of a concealable firearm. He allegedly fired the shots. He's also charged with resisting arrest.

He was held on $30,000 cash only bond.

Meanwhile, police say things escalated as Johnson was taken into custody. They say Anthony Wilson, 22, struck one of the officers who responded. He was charged with assault on law enforcement and resisting arrest. He's in the county jail on $50,000 cash only bond.

Antwan Johnson, 34, of Cape Girardeau was also taken into custody. He's charged with interfering with an arrest. He was held on $3,000 cash only bond.

Police say they aren't sure what started the fight in the first place.

Again no one was hurt as a result of the shots being fired.

And, that wasn't the only incident in Cape Girardeau last night involving weapons.

Another weapons violation landed Frederick Crittendon, 32, of Cairo, Illinois in jail for allegedly firing shots near Don's Store on South Sprigg.

Patrolman Darin Hickey says Crittendon was taken into custody about an hour and a half later- around 1:30 Sunday morning. Crittendon is charged with possession of a concealable firearm. He was held on $25,000 cash only bond.

No one was hurt in this case either.

Hickey says the two incidents do not appear to be related.

Cape Girardeau police say this is the 5th incident involving weapons since September 23 including two shootings last week on Saturday and Monday.
