Derek Storck from Jackson, Missouri:
"I respectfully disagree with Mike Smythe's ViewPoint that technology (might) play a role in (SAT) test scores and overall failures in general…the cause of these problems are all systemic to this new education philosophy of ‘fairness'…we have taken all form of competition out of the classroom. We are not all winners, we are not all losers. What we have lost if the discipline that comes with overall failure. If you can't possibly fail you can't hope to define success let along achieve it."
Charles B. Shurtz from Sheller, Illinois:
"Why did the men and women in power in Washington DC wait until the last minute to worry about being able to pay our country's debts? Why don't they give back 25% or more of their wages and cut some of the benefits like they are forcing the working men and women to do. Most of them are wealthy and if we, the working class and poor, can cut back and do without…so should they…I love this country and hate to see it fall apart…"
Daya Dement from Bloomfield, Missouri:
"My friends and I are very upset with the changes made to Facebook. Now EVERYONE of my friends and family can see what we are writing each other…it is very upsetting and annoying."
