McCracken Co. Deputies investigate deadly crash

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Symsonia man is killed Sunday in an early-morning crash in McCracken County.

According to Deputy Cory Golightly with the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, Gregory W. Walters, 23 of Symsonia was southbound in the 1200 block of Oaks Road at 2:05 a.m.

Golightly says the 1993 Blue Honda passenger car ran off the right shoulder causing Walters to lose control of the vehicle.

The Honda skidded across the northbound lane and hit a utility pole, then rolled down the earth embankment where Walters was ejected.

The car came to rest when it hit a flood gate at the bottom of the embankment.

Walters was pronounced dead at the scene by the McCracken County Coroner's Office.

Golightly says the investigation into the collision continues to determine what caused the collision.
