Two men, two ATV crashes, no helmets

Two southeast Missouri men were injured in separate ATV wrecks Saturday afternoon.

The first crash happened just before 2:30 p.m. on Route A, four miles south of Doniphan.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 41-year-old Teddy Collins was not wearing a helmet when he lost control of his Yamaha ATV on a gravel road and flipped.

Collins was thrown from the ATV. He was taken to a Ripley County hospital with moderate injuries.

The second crash happened about two hours later at 4:30 p.m. on a farm located just two miles south of Kelso.

Troopers say 40-year-old Kyle Enderle of Scott City was seriously injured when he hit a dirt mound on his ATV and was thrown off. He was also not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

Enderle was taken by ambulance to a Cape Girardeau hospital.

There's no official word on either man's condition.
