Man arrested in connection to Butler Co. armed robbery

BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Police say they have arrested a man in connection to an armed robbery Friday in Butler County.

According to Lt. Tim Davis with the Butler County Sheriff's Department, Will Mosley was arrested hours later on several felony charges.

Mosley is charged with armed criminal action, assault 1st degree, robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon.

He was being held behind bars on $250,000 cash only bond.

Around 11:38 a.m. Friday, police say Mosley was allegedly wearing a mask like the one from the movie "scream" and robbed an employee of Birch vending. It happened at the storage units on Highway 142, behind John's Mini-Mart.

Deputies say the suspect made the man lie down on the floor of a panel truck, and then robbed him. Police say the victim is an employee of Birch vending.

When police arrived they found the victim who had been robbed and shot in the leg. Police say the victim has superficial wounds and refused treatment.

Mosley then got away with an undetermined amount of cash, police said. The getaway car was found stuck in a bean field and K-9s helped track down the money and a gun, police said.

Police say a second car was stolen from Gates Rubber Factory.

Mo. State Highway Patrol assisted the sheriff's office in the investigation.
