Teacher forbids students from saying "bless you"

A teacher in Vacaville, California is getting a lot of attention after some students claim he's forbidden them from saying "bless you" after a sneeze.

Steve Cuckovich tells CBS5 San Francisco that the phrase is outdated and that it's disruptive in his classroom. Cuckovich admitted to disciplining students after they continued to say "bless you" after he asked them not to. He said his view has nothing to do with religion.

The school's superintendent said the teacher was just responding to a disruption in class. The superintendent said Cuckovich told him the students were sneezing dramatically and other students were repetitively responding.
