CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -
A 3.6 magnitude earthquake hit southern Missouri Thursday evening.
It happened around 6:32 p.m.
According to the US Geological Survey, the quake's epicenter was 3 miles from Grandin, Mo.
Dee Webb-Sparks lives in Hunter just northeast of Grandin. She said on facebook that the "dogs wanted in the house right before it happened, and it damaged some blocks under her mobile home."
USGS also reports the quake was was 7 miles from Ellsinore, 15 miles from Doniphan, 21 miles from Poplar Bluff, and 127 miles from both Memphis and St. Louis.
People from Wayne, Stoddard and Butler Counties called the Heartland News newsroom to say they felt the quake and it shook their homes.
Cherri Housman said on facebook that the quake was felt at her parents home in Poplar Bluff and lasted around 5 seconds.
