Masked man robs Hampton Inn at shotgun point

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) -

Police in Murray are investigating an overnight robbery at a local hotel.

According to police Sgt. Tracy Guge, the robbery occurred at approximately 4 a.m. Sunday.

Police say a white male wearing a ski mask entered the front entrance of the Hampton Inn carrying a shotgun and demanded cash.

The man also took a black night deposit safe and left the hotel with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured in the holdup but police say the suspect is still at large.

The white male is described as being 6' to 6'4" tall, weighing 200 to 225 pounds. He was wearing a black T-shirt, long denim shorts, a ski mask and gloves.

The robbery remains under investigation.

    According to Carbondale police, a man wearing a light colored polo shirt and blue jeans used the personal information of an out-of-state victim to make purchases at Best Buy.
