BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Butler County sheriff's deputy's squad car was involved in a hit-and- run crash Saturday night.

According to Sheriff Mark Dobbs it all happened around 8:00pm on Highway 67 north of Neelyville.

Sheriff Mark Dobbs says Tiffany Freeman was being held in the Butler County Jail on charges of driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident

Freeman also has a warrant for stealing. Bond on the warrant is $1,280 cash-only.

Sheriff Dobbs says Corporal Brandon Lowes was transporting a prisoner to Clay County, Arkansas when a Freeman lost control of her vehicle, went sideways in the deputy's lane striking him.

The deputy and prisoner are reportedly doing just fine.

As for the driver of the other vehicle, authorities say Freeman took off. Sheriff Dobbs though says she didn't go far, she was found in a wooded area passed out with a beer bottle between her legs.
