MOUNDS, IL (KFVS) -

It's not every day you get to see a hole-in-one shot on the golf course.

Earlier this week a father and son duo hit the greens at the Egyptian Country Club golf course in Mounds, Ill. to hit some golf balls.

Andrew Elder and his 3-year-old son Jackson Elder go out to the golf course everyday to perfect their skills.  Andrew starts off by driving the ball and Jackson then tees off from that point.

However, earlier this week on the second hole, Jackson teed off making a 50 yard shot.

"I let him tee it up, he hit it, and it looked good at first," said Andrew Elder. "And, I was like this looks pretty good and kept watching it and it kept going and it went into the hole."

Andrew says the moment was exciting even if it isn't a true hole-in-one.

"I jumped up and down ‘cause I was really excited," Andrews said. "He (Jackson) kind of didn't know what, ya know, what happened.  He thought that's what I'm supposed to do."

After that exciting moment for Jackson, Andrew tells Heartland News that his toddler son just wanted to do it again.

"My ball in the hole," said 3-year-old Jackson, "and then we go high five."

Andrew and Jackson Elder are staying with family in Mounds right now, but currently live in San Antonio, Texas.

About a month ago Andrew Elder finished up serving with the United States Air Force in Afghanistan and is taking some time to spend with his son golfing.

"Hopefully by the time he is my age he'll be much better than I am," said Andrew.
