High school students taking more AP exams

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Department of Education says more high school students in Kentucky are taking Advanced Placement exams and getting higher scores on them.

That's according to data released Wednesday by the College Board, the Education Department said in a statement.

The number of public high school students taking the exams has increased by almost 44% since 2007 and the number of tests with a high score has increased by about 75%.
