Massac Co. deputies make meth arrests

MASSAC COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

Deputies have made several meth arrests lately in Massac County, and have an arrest warrant for another person involving the drug.

According to deputies, on August 29 officers made 4 arrests at the America's Best Value Inn when they seized an active meth lab. At the time of the arrests there were several people of interest that deputies thought were also involved, but lacked evidence.

On September 13, deputies got an arrest warrant for Rene Rush, 30, for unlawful possession of meth precursors, a class 2 felony.

Deputies say Rush is at-large and they are asking for help finding her.

Rush pleaded guilty on meth related charges and was placed on probation on August 24.

Police found another meth lab on September 11.

They were dispatched to a medical call on Airport Road and found the lab, police said.

Justin Oliver, 22, and Douglas Hill, 28, of Metropolis were charged with participation of methamphetamine manufacturing less than 15 grams, according to police.

The Illinois State Police Meth Response Team was called in to clean up the lab.

Both men were taken to the Massac County Jail with a $5,000 cash only bond.
