SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

The Sikeston Department of Public Safety seized four vehicles and more than $6,000 in cash from suspected drug dealers or other conspirators.

The seizures came about after more than 40 people were arrested during a round up last week in southeast Missouri called "Operation Clean Sweep."  The arrests stem from an 18 month joint investigation.

The vehicles are up for forfeiture with two at the state and two at the federal level.

Police believe the vehicles were used to traffic narcotics or were purchased with the proceeds from drug sales.

Officers also seized undisclosed amounts of powder and crack cocaine.

Police are still looking for other conspirators who have not been located yet.  Their names have not been released.
