2 bodies found in burned Mo. home homicide victims

FULTON, Mo. (AP) - Medical examiners have determined that two people found in a home destroyed by fire are homicide victims and died before the blaze.

The Columbia Daily Tribune (http://bit.ly/qNLNRF) reports both bodies found Friday near Auxvasse in Callaway County had suspicious injuries.

The two haven't been officially identified, though the Callaway County Sheriff's Office has concluded they are the homeowner, 56-year-old Michael Wieberg, and his 33-year-old daughter Amanda Weiberg.

Amanda Weiberg's van was found in Audrain County later Friday and appeared to have been intentionally abandoned and set on fire.

Firefighters were called to the home just before 5 a.m. Friday and found it fully engulfed.

Deputies continue interviewing friends and associates and have been stationed near the scene in an effort to identify witnesses.
