A fire that started just after 9:30p.m. damaged a building on the 500 block of Broadway, Sunday night.
According to Cape Girardeau Fire Department personnel on the scene, the fire seems to have started on and apartment balcony on the second floor of the building.
No one was injured in the fire, but fire and smoke damage in the apartments was visible from the street.
Broadway was blocked off for a short time, but was open by 10:30p.m.
