Cardinals: Free 9-11 tickets to 1st responders

ST. LOUIS (AP) - The St. Louis Cardinals are honoring emergency workers and marking the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks by offering first responders free tickets to their Sept. 11 game against Atlanta.

Cardinals president Bill DeWitt III says the team wants to thank first responders for their service and sacrifice.

Emergency first responders could go to the Cardinals' website to obtain four tickets to the game.  According to the St. Louis Cardinals website, the tickets have already been sold out.

The offer is open to police officers, firefighters and emergency service personnel, anyone who works for an emergency first responder agency, and anyone with an immediate relative who serves as an emergency first responder.

The Cardinals plan a pre-game ceremony to honor first responders.
