Doniphan man electrocuted after crash

A Doniphan man was electrocuted Sunday afternoon after he was involved in a crash in Oregon County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 160 about four miles east of Riverton, Sunday shortly before 3 p.m.

Investigators say the 35-year-old Rhonda Miller was driving when she ran off the right side of the highway and hit a utility pole.

Miller was seriously injured in the crash and was flown to a Memphis hospital.

Her passenger, 44-year-old David Conn, received minor injuries in the crash. But according to the Highway Patrol, when he tried to get out of the car after the crash he grabbed a live power line from the damaged utility pole and was electrocuted.

Conn was killed when he grabbed the live power line. Miller was also burned by the live power line.
