Bath salt maker files last-ditch appeal before law takes effect

RIPLEY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Ripley County businessman filed a last-ditch appeal to get in front of a judge before Missouri's new K-3 law goes into effect this weekend.

Rodger Seratt filed a motion Thursday asking for an emergency hearing on Friday or for the court to temporary block the law from kicking in.

Seratt's bath salts and incense will be labeled synthetic drugs under the new law.

Seratt argues he and others should not be punished for the improper use of their products.
