MCCRACKEN COUNTY, KY (KFVS) -

A Paducah family is facing drug charges after police find marijuana in their home.

Brandi Burlingame, 33, of Paducah was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana (facilitation), possession of drug paraphernalia (facilitation), cultivation of marijuana under 5 plants (facilitation), and wanton endangerment. All are class "A" misdemeanors, punishable by up to one year.

Police say Brandi Burlingame was on felony probation at the time of her arrest for drug related  offenses.

Her husband, James Burlingame, 36, of Paducah was cited and charged with possession of marijuana (facilitation), possession of drug paraphernalia (facilitation), cultivation of marijuana under 5 plants (facilitation), and wanton endangerment. All are class "A" misdemeanors, punishable by up to one year.

Two children, ages 16 and 13, were cited for various drug offenses, as well, police said.

Deputies say during a search of the residence, they found a number of items of drug paraphernalia and a quantity of high grade marijuana. The items were located in the bedrooms of juveniles who live there with their parents.

Also located in the bedroom of one of the children was evidence of a recent marijuana grow, police said.

Items used to facilitate the growth of marijuana plants were recovered from the bedroom, police said. A marijuana plant approximately 3 feet tall and which was actively cared for, was located in a shed beside the residence, according to investigators.

Social Services was contacted and will begin an investigation into the welfare of the children.

Police say the children were released to their father.
