Village president charged with felony after choking businessman

The Village President of Blodgett is charged with a felony after an argument turned physical.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter says, Richard Riley choked a local business man after a verbal fight over property rights.

Prosecutors charged Riley with felony second degree assault. He bonded out of jail last night.

The victim is recovering from neck injuries and a broken hip.
