Man challenges new Mo. bath salt law

RIPLEY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A Ripley County business owner is taking his next legal step in an effort to block Missouri's new K-3 law.

Rodger Seratt of Fairdealing filed a motion for preliminary injunction and a temporary restraining order.

Seratt wants a judge to block the August 28 start date for the updated synthetic drug law until his lawsuit can be heard.

Seratt, who owns Wildwood Botanicals, filed suit against the governor and attorney general, arguing the law focuses on the improper use of bath salts and incense, and therefore violates his constitutional rights to make the products.
