Firefighters injured after fire truck overturns

DOE RUN, MO (KFVS) - The Missouri Highway Patrol says two firefighters are hurt after a Doe Run fire truck overturned just north of Doe Run late Monday afternoon.

Troopers say it happened shortly after the truck ran into a ditch on Highway B at Crocker Court.

Investigators say the tanker truck ran off the road because it was driving too fast for the wet road conditions and ran off the right side of the road on a sharp curve.

The two injured are the driver, 36-year-old William Nokes, and passenger, 17-year-old Haylie Hagermann.

Air Evac took Hagermann to Barnes-Jewish Hospital with moderate injuries, while the St. Francois County Ambulance took Nokes to Parkland Medical Center with minor injuries.

K Buckley's Towing took away the totaled tanker to their shop in Park Hills.
