MOREHOUSE, MO (KFVS) - The disaster recovery center in Morehouse is now closed.
Saturday was the last day for residents affected by flooding and storm damage to meet with FEMA officials one-on-one.
At the Morehouse location Saturday, there was no one to be found and no last minute appointments taking place.
However, officials at the center say they helped 1,200 people get federal disaster assistance over the last two months
"The norm is a little bit less," said FEMA disaster assistant Robert Harting. "But, this was a significant flooding event for several counties. And so, we've stayed here a little bit longer than we normally do."
The Morehouse location was the last disaster recovery center in southeast Missouri.
