CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KFVS) - The search for a missing Mississippi woman had ended. Searchers say Phyllis Birge, 70, is home safe.
Olive Branch Police found her Sunday afternoon in Olive Branch.
She was still driving after two and a half days on the road.
Birge disappeared on her way from Mississippi to a funeral in central Illinois. Birge was last seen Aug. 5 in Caruthersville.
Birge forgot her cell phone at home, and stopped in at a Caruthersville business, 'Sullivan Auto,' to call her daughter.
She left a voicemail saying it was raining, and would probably be getting to her destination late. She never made it.
A few weeks ago Birge was diagnosed with having early stages of Alzheimer's.
