Crash injures 4 in New Madrid County

NEW MADRID COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

Four people were injured in a crash on Highway 60 at Hwy. FF in New Madrid County Thursday afternoon.

It happened around 3:15 p.m., 3 miles west of Sikeston.

According to the Mo. State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when a GMC driven by Kimberly Wheeler, 36, of Sikeston failed to yield and drove into the path of an SUV driven by Renda K. Burton, 61, of Dexter.

Wheeler received minor injuries and was treated at a St. Louis hospital. Burton also received minor injuries and was treated at a Dexter hospital.

Wheeler's 3-year-old and 7-year-old daughters received serious injuries and were flown to Children's Hospital in St. Louis.
