UNION CITY, TN (KFVS/WMCTV) - A West Tennessee Amber Alert has been canceled according to the Obion County Sheriff's Department for three-year-old Jilleeann Calderon and four-year-old James Brown.

According to the sheriff's department the alleged abductor, Terry Nichols, was recognized in a Union City bank drive-thru.  Police were called and he was taken into custody.

All seven of the children in the car are now safe.  The children are with Child Protection Services.

The Tennessee Department of Investigation issued the Amber Alert Monday night.

According to the TBI, 51-year-old Terry Nichols abducted two young children from his girlfriend in Rutherford, TN.

He also picked up 16-year-old niece and their daughter from Kennett, MO last Wednesday.

Police say she went willingly with Nichols.

Investigators say they tracked Nichols to Mobile, Alabama, using cell towers.

At some point Monday, his cell phone either died or he turned it off, and police could no longer track his car.

Luckily, he ran out of money, and was arrested at First Citizens National Bank just before 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.

"I don't think he understands the severity of what he's done," said Obion County Sheriff Jerry Vastbinder. "He said he was taking the kids to the beach for vacation.  We're questioning his mental capacity."

According to authorities, this all happened last Wednesday, but they were not reported missing until Monday.
