Dalhousie set to host USGA qualifier

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - A big week ahead at Dalhousie golf club in Cape Girardeau as they welcome a USGA amateur qualifier Tuesday and Wednesday.

86-golfers will hit the course beginning Monday with a practice round set to tee off around 7:00 am.

They will be playing for three spots and one alternate in next months U.S. Amateur Championship at Erin Hills in Erin, WI.  The tournament gets under away August 22nd.

Many local golfers will take part this week at Dalhousie including Poplar Bluff's Car Vernon and Bobby Godwin and Cape Girardeau's Breven Geibler.  Dalhousie hosted the Senior Amateur qualifying in 2009.
