ISP releases autopsy results of sword wielding suspect's wife

TAMMS, IL (KFVS) -

The Illinois State Police has released the autopsy results of Bobby Curtis's wife on Friday.

According to ISP the autopsy results of 50-year-old Lisa Curtis shows that she died of strangulation. She also suffered multiple postmortem stab wounds.

Bobby Curtis, 48, was shot by an Alexander County Sheriff's Department deputy after he brandished a sword toward the deputy.

Curtis later died in a Cape Girardeau hospital.

After the shooting, police found the body of his wife inside their car.

Both Curtis and his wife were from Panama City, Florida.

Police say the investigation is still on-going.
