UNION COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Illinois State Police have released information about a deadly crash in Union County.
The crash happened Monday just after 5:30 p.m. on Hummingbird Road. That's about two miles southeast of Lick Creek.
Police say a farm semi-truck and a Jeep were involved in the wreck.
Police report the vehicles were rounding a corner and could not avoid each other. As the vehicles were braking, the Jeep went off the right side of the road and was hit by the trailer of the semi-truck as it jack-knifed on the road.
The driver of the Jeep was killed and the passenger in the Jeep received minor injuries.
Neither the driver or passenger in the truck were injured.
Police are not releasing the names of the victims at this time.
