SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) -

The little girl who got hit by a truck in Sikeston is home from the hospital.

She spent a week and a half at Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

Her family says doctors are pleased with results of her most recent skin grafts on her foot.

Althea Sutton, 49, of Sikeston is accused of running over Makayla Brown as she and a babysitter walked out of the Fas Gas station on East Street in Sikeston on July 10.

Sutton is charged with leaving the scene of an accident.

A fund has been established to help the family. Donations can be made to The Makayla Brown Fund at any Focus Bank.

Meanwhile, the woman who allegedly hit her and left the scene is due in court in August.
